Walk to Cure Diabetes

Hi all,

I am participating in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes in October. I do this every year, and it is so much fun. All of my family participates, and often, many of my friends. This year, my sisters in Phi Mu decided to make a team! I'm so pumped. We are getting shirts made, so we're gonna be pretty legit. HA! Since I have Type 1 diabetes, this is pretty near and dear to me. I feel very passionately about raising money for this cause, because I know what the future holds. :)

Hello all...allow me to introduce myself again. My name is Lauren Figg, and I am a sophomore at IUPUI. My major is Secondary Education, and English as a Second Language. I would one day like to join the Peace Corps, and teach English overseas. Outside of class, I am a member of Phi Mu sorority, volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and am a student leader for the study abroad program To Mexico, With Love. I also work part-time at P.F. Chang's at Keystone. I don't have a whole lot of experience with blogging, as I have never created a blog for myself. I read some of my friends' blogs, however, so I have been introduced to blogging before. So far, it is a lot of fun! I think it will be a great resource for me now, and later, when I am a teacher.
